Sizing Guide & Measuring Tips
Essential Measurements
You'll need these basic measurements for most patterns:
1**Bust/Chest**: Measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape parallel to the floor
2**Waist**: Find your natural waistline (the narrowest point) and measure around it
3**Hips**: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, usually 20cm below the waist
4**Shoulder width**: Measure from shoulder point to shoulder point across the back
Measuring Tips
- Use a flexible measuring tape (not a metal one)
- Stand naturally — don't pull in your stomach
- Measure over well-fitting undergarments
- Have someone help you with back measurements
- Measure twice to confirm accuracy
- Record measurements in centimeters for precision
Finding Your Size
Compare your measurements to the size chart included with each pattern. If you're between sizes:
•Tops/Dresses: Go by your bust measurement
•Skirts/Pants: Go by your hip measurement
•Close-fitting garments: Choose the larger size
•Loose-fitting garments: Choose the smaller size
